Description of PBC Ministries 

 

 

 

SUNDAY SCHOOL MINISTRIES - We have a place for all ages. Every Sunday morning at 9:30 am.

 

DISCIPLESHIP TRAINING: Discipleship Training meets Sunday nights at 5:00 pm.  During Discipleship Training we have speakers who teach a variety of subjects and topics.  Some of the subjects/topics covered are money, spiritual gifts, evangelism and more.  This is a great learning time for adults.  If you would like more information on Discipleship Training, please contact pbc@pocahontasbaptistchurch.org

 

MEMBERSHIP MATTERS CLASS-  is to help members or people who are in interested in becoming a member to learn the history of the church, how we operate, who we believe and much more. THE MIGHTY CHORUS - is the adult choir that sings every Sunday morning in the worship service. They practice each Wednesday night at 7:15 pm. For more info please contact pbc@pocahontasbaptistchurch.org

 

PRAISE TEAM: Praise Team is a ministry for the youth and college who are interested in music.  They meet Sunday nights at 4:00 pm and often sing in our Worship Services at PBC.  If you would like more information on the Praise Team, please contact pbc@pocahontasbaptistchurch.org

 

KIDS UNDER CONSTRUCTION: is a children’s choir age K 4 – 6^th grade. They meet Sunday afternoons at 5 pm. If you would like more information on our Children's Choir, please contact pbc@pocahontasbaptistchurch.org

 

HANDBELL CHOIR – consist of 12 to 13 people who play the handbells on occasion during worship services. They practice on Monday evenings at 7 pm. For more info please contact pbc@pocahontasbaptistchurch.org

G.R.O.W. MINISTRY – each Monday night at 6:30 pm to visit with possible prospects for our church. For more info please contact pbc@pocahontasbaptistchurch.org

 

 

 

BROTHERHOOD BREAKFAST: Every two months (on the odd months) the men of PBC meet at 7:00am  on Sunday morning for breakfast.  There are guest speakers who speak during the breakfast.  All men are welcome to attend.  If you would like more information on the Brotherhood Breakfast, please contact pbc@pocahontasbaptistchurch.org

 

wMu: WMU is a meeting for women to pray for missionaries.  They meet the first Monday of every month at 6:30 pm.   WMU will NOT meet during the summer, they will resume meetings in September.  If you would like more information on WMU, please contact pbc@pocahontasbaptistchurch.org

 

MILITARY MINISTRY – to send cookies, cards, and emails to men and women in the military to show encouragement and love as they are on active duty. For more info please contact pbc@pocahontasbaptistchurch.org

 

 

 

FAMILY NIGHT: Family Night at PBC is a time where the church family meets once a month for food and fellowship. This Sunday night ministry is a highlight of our church.  If you would like more information on family night please contact  pbc@pocahontasbaptistchurch.org 

 

 

 

 SPECIAL MINISTRIES

 

1ST THURSDAY PRAY - This Ministry meets the 1st Thursday of each month at noon in the church sanctuary.  

 

TEAM KIDS: Team Kids is a children's ministry for children grades 1-6.  They meet every Wednesday night at 6:00 pm.  They enjoy bible study, activities and games.  TeamKids is a growing ministry at PBC and we welcome you to come join us.  If you would like more information on TeamKids for your children or someone you know, please contact pbc@pocahontasbaptistchurch.org

 

SUMMER PROGRAM FOR TEAM KIDS-  This is a summer program for Team Kids. 3 year olds - 6th grade.  We meet on Wednesday's at 6:15 pm. For more info please contact pbc@pocahontasbaptistchurch.org.

 

IGINITE: IGINITE is a ministry for our youth grades 7-12.  IGINITE is a laid back atmosphere where teenagers can learn about Christ and make life long friends.  IGINITE meets every Wednesday night at 6:15 pm and would love to have anyone in grades 7-12 join them.  If you would like more information on IGINITE, please contact pbc@pocahontasbaptistchurch.org

 

COLLEGE/CAREER -  They meet every Sunday morning at 9:30 am. Led by Duane & Jerri Thompson who are here to encourage and love the college students while they are away from home. PATHFINDERS: Pathfinders are senior adults who meet monthly, third Tuesday of the monthfor fellowship and  ministry.  If you are a senior adult and would like to be involved with Pathfinders, we do not meet during the summer, please contact Pocahontas Baptist Church at pbc@pocahontasbaptistchurch.org
